50. VET CASES - ANOREXIA IN RED-EARED SLIDERS - VIDEOS IN 2018

1.  FINAL VIDEO - 3 cases of anorexia in 3 red-eared sliders in Singapore. Case 1 was a female red-eared slider, housed in a garden pool with a male slider. Previously, they were living harmoniously inside a tank. Severely infected multiple body wounds. Not eating for over 2 weeks. Syringe fed at the surgery. Passed away at home. Case 2 had infected eyes. Recovered with treatment. Case 3 had lost appetite. X-rays shows eggs. Oxytocin and calcium gluconate injections in 2 days did not induce egg laying. As at 1 month after treatment, no eggs are laid.

The coach had been broken into overnight. How did the burglar do it?   The thief stole food, drinks and the driver's sunglasses, but not the camera. The police concluded that he could be a 'hungry homeless man' who had duplicate keys or picked the lock to open the coach door.  A sunny morning.  The ladies looked forward to spending a day at the Factory Outlet. As the coach turned the bend of the road, the rectangular safety vent of the coach lifted up and disappeared, leaving a big gap on the roof of the coach. The was the 'Ah Ha' moment. The 'Ah Ha' moment is a moment of sudden realization, inspiration, insight, recognition, or comprehension . 28. PHOTOGRAPHY OF MOON - Morning Moon from Canon R5. Use shutterspeed 2.5 sec

Photography of the morning moon with a 24-105 mm lens. In this case, the moon appeared very large and closer to earth than normally. A tripod or support camera on the ledge is necessary. 300-mm lens is advised. My lens is 24 - 105 mm, so it cannot capture the shadows in the moon as a 300-mm lens.  Canon R5, focal length 74 mm, AV, f/9, ISO 400, 2.5 sec. Use tripod or support on ledge. 5 Jun 2023, 6.36 am. Full moon was on 2 Jun (Vesak Day).  Focus on roof/moon area. 39. PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO OF A TRAPPED MYNA

The myna is a pest in Singapore.  It eats leftover food in hawker centres and elsewhere. Compared to 5 years ago,  its numbers have had declined by more than 500%. Many animal lovers know the reason for the population decline.The myna is  trapped and poisoned by pest control companies engaged by the authorities such as the Town Council. All the shoppers were not bothered with this trapped myna fluttering back and forth high above the enclosed area above the escalators leading to and from the roof top.   The two doors to the rooftop were wide open. The myna had two escape routes to freedom. Why did he fly back and forth, landing on the window ledge above the doors?  A male and a female teenager stood beside the two doors to ensure they stay open to help the myna fly out. The Saturday shoppers streamed through the open doors without any concern for the distressed open-mouthed myna. The myna population knows that humans are a threat to their life over the years of encounters.T
